We are born to this Earth with our soul, the pure part of us we bring to Earth from the spirit world. As we develop, we lose some contact with that spiritual part -- our divine self -- in a process of forgetting that is necessary for our development. But we can lose too much, and when we have lost all awareness of our divinity, we become spiritually disconnected and depressed.
